Required for everyone. Your listing goes live, and you can express interest, only after you open the confirmation link we send to your email.

License verified
Required for supervisors to appear. A person checks your license number against your state’s public license lookup: name, state and active status. In states with no license, we check your association certification in the association’s public directory. Trainees who give a registration number are checked too.
✓ License verified
ID verified
Optional for everyone. A short check with a government ID document, a liveness test and a face match against the ID photo. It takes a couple of minutes on your phone.
✓ ID verified
What the badges do
- Verified profiles rank higher in browse.
- Anyone can filter browse to Only show ID-verified.
- Supervisors can choose to only accept interest from ID-verified members.
- If you are ID-verified, you can tick Require ID verification to match when you express interest. The other person sees “… is interested and asks you to verify your ID to complete the match”, with a link to start the check. Contact details stay locked until they accept and their ID check passes, then unlock automatically.
What we keep, and what we never keep
- For the ID check we keep only a pass or fail result and the check’s session ID.
- We never store ID images, selfies or document details such as your ID number or date of birth.
- Your license number is used only for the license check and is never shown on your listing.
- Your email stays private until you both accept a match.
The optional ID check is run by Didit, an identity-verification provider, under its own verification privacy notice. License data comes from each state’s public license lookup. Neither is a sponsor or partner of this site. A badge is a check at a point in time, not an endorsement: always confirm a credential with your state’s licensing agency before you start working together. Phone verification may be added later.
